About your Teacher

Hi, my name is Hannah Grady, the owner and teacher at Wild Acorns. After becoming a mother again at age 43 (making my children 20 years apart), I was determined to find a way to remain home with my son during those magical preschool years that I knew all too well fly by much to quickly.

I have spent much of my adult years raising my own children, providing care for special needs/behaviorally challenged children, leading preschool and elementary school classrooms at special needs camps, volunteering in church preschool programs, studying child development in college, and supporting parents/families as a certified family, parent, and teen coach (Academy for Family Coach Training).

Having been raised in a small, wooded logging community, my heart is for small town country life. Moving to Waxhaw has been a dream come true! My own preschool/elementary school experience was Montessori and I have combined my love of them. Launching Little Acorns Nature Preschool brings together my love for the magic of the preschool age, the woods, and Montessori.

Most kids have technology, school and extra curricular activities covered. It’s time to add a pinch of adventure, a sprinkle of sunshine, and a big handful of outdoor play.
